James and I have been settling into Appaloosa Plains quite nicely.
When James came to me with the idea of moving, I won’t lie to you-I was worried. The prospect of moving away from all one HUNDRED of my children, and leaving what has become my life, was not an easy idea to deal with. And as hard as leaving my children, friends, and hometown was, as soon as pulling off the highway and into AP I knew it was the right decision to make.
The house that James chose for us to live in isn’t too shabby either. When James told me that he bought a two-floor home with 5 acres of land and three bedrooms, I was a bit hesitant. James is James, which means that he doesn’t necessarily have the greatest sense of style. But this home is mainly a pearly white color, with emerald green and baby yellow accents, and a whole lot of living to back it up. The house is centuries old, and with a few minor adjustments it is honestly the perfect house. It’s not too modern, and it’s not too old-fashioned. It’s our ideal home.
Something else that is new is our brand-spanking-new family member, Kamen. Shortly after moving in and adjusting to all the spacious land and unfamiliar free-time, James and I decided to adopt a horse. Kamen is a bit younger than a full-grown horse. He is a baby foal.
He is one of the best investments I’ve ever made. Without any children or paparazzi stalking my time, raising baby K has been amazing. Every morning I wake, bottle-feed him specially purchased milk, and then spend the day off and on with him, training him to be a professional racer. Kamen is naturally fast, so it’s only a matter of honing those skills before he can be the star I envision him to be.
Bambi has been loving life in Appaloosa Plains too! I know she definitely appreciates all of the space to run and play, because back in Sunset Valley she didn’t have half the amount of room she does now. She has also taken a liking to K. Bambi is a naturally curious dog, so sniffing and playing with Kamen is just something else to get herself in to.
And as for me, well…I haven’t been up to much. Ever since finishing the challenge I have been more than happy to stay at home and relax. Having no kids is definitely a stretch, but it’s a good one-a very good one. Not having mid-night wake up screams, no getting up early to pack lunches, and especially no dealing with DRAMA has been awesome! It’s especially great because of the fact that I am not half as famous in AP as I was in SV. No one knows who I am here! They are all country folk, and I don’t think they even know what the one hundred baby challenge is! I feel so free that sometimes I just stand behind my all-glass front door and shout at the top of my lungs. No one is taking pictures!
James has also been busy doing his own thing. We’re still in that newly-engaged, lovey-dovey phase, but he has been trying to pick up some new work in our new town of residency. We obviously moved here because of when he came here for work, so he already has some great connections. One person he works with, and has been meeting with a little too often if you ask me, is a woman by the name of Maggie Gray. I know it’s business, but she’s a typical country-western flirt, and I don’t trust her. I will be keeping an eye on her.
So, there you go. James and I have started our new life, five thousand miles away, and things are going well. For now, at least.
“We must be willing to get rid of the life we’ve planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us. The old skin has to be shed before the new one can come.”
Awww, what a nice beginning π
It’s nice to see her so happy and relaxed! Haha, keepin’ her eye out on Maggie! You go, Amber XD Don’t worry too much tho!

Hehe, maggie. He better not go near her!
Thank you for liking this. ^_^
Thanks for reading, again!
Miss Maggie really does look like the flirt. Love the house and pasture area. Can’t wait to see what comes up next for these two!
Aww, thank you pinkreina. ^_^ Did you read my challenge? If so, what was your username on there? I guess I need to adjust to everyones new names on here, LOL!
Thank you for reading!!
I’ve loved your 100 baby challenge blog and can’t wait to see what you do with this life after blog.
Yes I’ve logged on with a few different ones – facebook is Theresa Gartung, blogger is Orchid.
I can’t wait to follow Amber through her life after having 100 babies. I’m excited to see where everything goes. AWESOME pictures, you are so talented.
Thank you for reading! I am excited to see where things go too, in fact you already know of some things I have planned for later this month. ^_^
My lips are zipped shut…
Ooh… Maggie…. π Hopefully if everything James has said about Amber is true, Amber won’t have to worry about James and business partner.
Eep, I love how relaxed Amber seems… and I’m super excited for future posts!

I know. π Writing in this fashion is so much more relaxing and simple to do. I am loving post-challenge life β€
I have my eye on Maggie as well! If she ever does anything to try to steal your man, I’ll be right there on your side! But let’s hope she won’t! Overall great update, cute house!
~Kalyn
Haahaha, thank you! I love the house! You guys barely got to see it, but I will be showing more rooms next post. I took a pre-made one that was already in AP, kicked the family that was living there out, and then moved James and Amber in and completely re-decorated EVERYTHING on the inside. I love the way EA builds, but the way they decorate is terrible. ;__;
Awww, Amber! James and Amber are perfect for each other and I’m excited to see what their life turns into! Its good that she’s so happy now! It seems like this blog is going to be great!
Thank youuuuuuu! β€
No kids…… Wow, that is going to take time to get use to… But I’m glad you went on with Amber and James story! It was ons great year with 100 kids…. And now a few more years for you James!!! Good luck!
